David R. Osterhout wore many hats in his decades of service in the film industry. Before retiring in 2005, he added to a broad spectrum of contributions.
In his last year of high school, his counselor recommended that he follow a career in the Mortuary business. He couldn’t understand why they would recommend that for him aside from the fact that he didn’t quite fit into the standards for other blue-collar type jobs. He enrolled in Northridge and majored in drama. This is where he really started seeing the vision of life that he wanted to obtain. Eager to forge his way into this path, he managed to drift into some small opportunities to get his feet wet.
This site is dedicated to his own written memoirs about some of those experiences. It also contains more stories about his life in general.
